Armed Forces Day and Flower Pot Pudding

First off, since it is Armed Forces Day, I would like to say a great big huge thank you to all our military personnel past, present, and future. Thank you for all your sacrifices; for the ones that we know about and the ones we will never hear of. To my big brother, you are my hero. I know you aren't a Marine yet, but you will be very soon. Thank you for your willingness to serve. I am so incredibly proud of you.

Now, on a little bit lighter of a note, here are couple of the pictures I have taken in the past three days.
Wednesday was pretty relaxing. In the morning I went for a long, rambling walk along the railroad track. It was just what the doctor ordered for me to de-stress a little bit.

Random fact: I love taking animal pictures.

Daniel was pretty proud of himself for putting that barn on his tractor. I quickly took a picture and then told him to take it off :)

We have been having quite a bit of rain and some thunder showers, and this was the sky after one such storm. (In case you are wondering, that is the clothesline that the raindrop is clinging to.)

The sun actually came out yesterday to dry some laundry for us!

Daniel was more interested in watching tractor videos than helping make the pudding, however, he had no problem with eating it!

That's all for now folks......have a wonderful day, and don't forget to thank our service men and women (today and every day).

sunshine, a clean dog, and spring beauties

Aaaaaaahhhhhh. I love days like this. The sun was shining, I wasn't overwhelmed with school work (or maybe I just wasn't letting it overwhelm me....), and I got to spend a lot of time with my dog. What could have been better??.........forget I said that. A lot of things could have been better, but hey! that's not what matters right now. What matters is that these pictures aren't gonna get captioned by themselves, so I better stop yacking up here and get to work.

When you find something cuter then that face, let me know.

She looks like she is teething on it.

 Happy face. Aka, normal face.

One time she carried two tennis balls around in her mouth. It was comical.

Hey Sabrina? Stop being so gorgeous, okay? Thanks.

I love this picture. I don't even know why. It's just kinda cool.

She looks like she's plotting my death and is excited about it. Now I am worried.

Don't hate me just because my dog is cuter then yours is.

At the moment that I took this picture, I was literally drenched. Drenched because I had just gotten done giving my dog a bath, and she seems to think that cuddling against my leg will somehow make the whole bath experience better. Oh well. At least she is clean now.

The first spring beauty of 2013. Life is good folks.

Me 'n' My Dog

So today, one of my friends wanted to take some pictures. So we headed down to our river and proceeded to get soaked. Actually, Sabrina proceeded to get soaked. I may or may not have voluntarily gotten soaked. But you'll see pictures of that at the end. Ready? Lights! Camera! Action!!

Water. It is truly her best friend. Which makes me feel just great about myself.

Someone once said that the most affectionate creature in the world is a wet dog.
Truer words have never been spoken.

My sunshine doesn't come from the skies. It comes from the love in my dog's eyes.

Boots, class, and a lil sass. That's what cowgirls are made of.

That face. There. On the left. I like it.

Cute picture of Bri. Not so cute picture of my with my mouth hanging open. Oh well. Who cares.

Whoever said diamonds are a girl's best friend obviously never owned a Golden Retriever.

Yes, it was my choice to go in the river in the middle of February.

 Yes, it was cold.

And yes, these pictures were totally worth it.

God, thank you for this dog. Amen.

Hope you aren't getting sick of dog pictures.....

Despite the fact that I am sick again, the sun was out this afternoon and so I decided that it was time to take some more pictures of my gorgeous (and photo contest winning!) dog.
If you interviewed her and asked her what her favorite thing in life was, she would say water.
Not the greatest picture, but the look on her face and her ears made it a must-post.
My baby grew up when I wasn't looking.
I actually felt the heat of the sun!
 Best Friends Forever
 "Mud? What mud?"
"You don't mind if I shake all over you and the camera, do you?"
 Beautiful.
The more people I meet, the more I love my dog.
Don't despair. Spring is almost here.

7 things to (hopefully) make you smile

Happy Monday everyone! Wait. Isn't that an oxymoron? Happy and Monday in the same sentence? Hmmm. Anyway. Moving on. Because it is Monday, which signifies another week of school and/or work, I thought I would provide you with a little bit of humor. But as I was looking for funny material, I kept seeing these adorable picture of animals. So, I decided to do more of a "things-to-make-you-smile-and-maybe-go-awww" than a "things-to-make-you-laugh". So without further ado, I give you.....7 things to (hopefully) make you smile

Hopefully now you will have a better week because of what you have just seen. Adios!
